Prime Minister Urges Regular Institutional Reform for Enhanced Public Service

Phnom Penh, April 5, 2024: Prime Minister Hun Manet today called for ongoing reform of Cambodia's ministries and institutions, highlighting the importance of evolving governance to improve service delivery to the public.

Addressing the audience at the closing ceremony of the Ministry of Civil Service in Phnom Penh, Prime Minister Manet commended the regular reforms undertaken by the ministries and institutions. He emphasized that the Royal Government, in its seventh mandate, is committed to intensifying these reforms to align with the current societal context and emerging needs.

Manet pointed out that the effectiveness of public administration is vital for the nation and that its continuous modernization is key to developing a public sector that is capable, intelligent, and efficient.

"We aim for a public administration that is robust, adaptable, and effective at fulfilling its responsibilities," Manet stated, adding that achieving such an administration requires collaborative effort from all parties involved. This shared endeavor is crucial, he noted, both at the national and sub-national levels to ensure that public services can meet the demands of the times.
